This place is dirty and falling apart. The room I was given had nasty sheets and a dozen ants plus some other bug on the “clean sheets” housekeeping cane to fix this and sprayed poison right where your head goes to sleep and said ok now. I changed rooms from the nightmare of 305 but the new one isn’t much better. G adventures had us here for 2 nights so we didn’t have a choice but if you dear reader have a choice run far away.

The hotel is situated very close to major tourist attractions including the Shore temple. Rooms in the hotel are well maintained and clean. The hotel staff is very cordial and hospitable. They are always eager to serve with a smile on their faces.

The rooms are not clean, dust on the shelf’s and dirty floor. The sheets have a lot of stains and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. But room had working A/C. I can not recommend this place.

Stayed at Mamalla Inn for a day. staff is helpful, they provided good guidance on places to see in Mahaballipuram along with recommended timings. While we didn’t stay at Mamalla beach resort, staff advised us to go and enjoy private beach of the resort as we were guests at Mamalla Inn. Rooms are just enough equipped for a relaxing stay.

Mamalla Inn is a budget hotel and located very near to beach. Bus stand is also very near. Most liked is the roof top swimming pool. Complementary breakfast is also good. Rooms are spacious and have separate balcony.
